Position Summary

We are currently seeking a Part-Time Sheet Metal Apprenticeship Instructor to deliver high-quality, in-person instruction to apprentices enrolled in a Department of Labor (DOL)-approved Registered Apprenticeship Program. Instruction is held during evening hours to accommodate working apprentices, with classes scheduled from 4 : 00 PM to 6 : 00 PM EST on two weeknights , and occasional Saturdays (up to 8 hours) as needed. Please note : classroom schedule is subject to change based on program needs.

This role requires a combination of technical expertise, instructional skill, and a commitment to supporting apprentices as they advance in their careers.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver evening, in-person instruction aligned with DOL Registered Apprenticeship Standards and NCCER curriculum.
• Prepare and present lesson plans and instructional materials in advance.
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and productive learning environment for all students.
• Collaborate with the apprenticeship team, field supervisors, and administrative staff to ensure program compliance and support apprentice development.
• Maintain accurate attendance, training records, and student evaluations.
• Adhere to all RQ safety practices and classroom expectations.
• Promote and uphold RQ's Mission, Vision, and Values in all instructional activities.
