Salary : $20.00 - $25.00

Certified Automotive Mechanic (ASE Required)

Location : Albany, Oregon | Full-Time

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and certified Automotive Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will inspect, diagnose, and repair a wide range of vehicles to ensure they operate safely and efficiently. This role requires strong attention to detail, commitment to quality workmanship, and a thorough understanding of modern automotive systems.

Must have current ASE Certification.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance services such as oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, and fluid checks.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and engine issues.
  • Use diagnostic equipment to identify problems and determine appropriate repair solutions.
  • Conduct inspections to ensure vehicles meet safety and emissions standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of services performed and parts used.
  • Communicate effectively with service advisors and customers about vehicle issues, repair timelines, and maintenance recommendations.
  • Stay current with industry trends, tools, and technologies.
  • Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or associate degree in automotive technology preferred.
  • Valid ASE certification required.
  • Minimum 2-5 years of experience as an automotive technician or mechanic.
  • Valid driver's license and driving record compliant with company insurance policy.
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to operate diagnostic tools, lifts, and other automotive shop equipment.
  • Physical ability to lift heavy parts and work in various positions.

    • Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with specific makes / models or diesel / electric vehicles.
  • HVAC certification or additional specialty training.
  • Bilingual abilities (Spanish) a plus.

    • Work Environment

  • Fast-paced, team-oriented automotive shop.
  • Frequent standing, bending, lifting, and exposure to noise, fumes, and varying temperatures.

    • Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive hourly rate : $20.00 - $25.00 per hour, DOE (depending on experience and certifications).
