Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems (NGAS) is seeking a Level 5 Staff Cost Estimating Analyst to join our diverse team of professionals located on-site in Melbourne, FL or Saint Augustine, FL. The ideal candidate demonstrates a broad skill set that is balanced between interpersonal, business, and technical capabilities. Relocation assistance is available for this position.

Roles and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following :

• Supporting proposal activities of diverse and inclusive teams with high levels of engagement and collaboration with other team members.
• Reviewing and analyzing RFP / Change Orders to determine / develop the costing requirements and goals.
• Developing compliant estimates according to company and government policies and procedures.
• Organizing and estimating initial ROM, or cost targets for medium / large efforts.
• Preparing cost reports and presents findings to management, contract personnel, proposal
• Estimates labor and / or material costs of manufacturing and engineering based on request for proposal (RFP) and change requests (CRs) data submitted by prospective customers.
• Analyzes specifications, including sketches, blueprints, bills of material, or sample layouts, and calculates production costs using labor and material pricing schedules and historical data.
• Collects cost data from functional representatives, subcontractors, and vendors.
• Computes cost estimates of raw materials or subcontracted work and labor. Prepares and maintains historical cost data.
• Populating existing or creating models with updated information and / or creating report ready spreadsheet tables / graphs.
• Foreseeing and identifying potential problems (understanding impacts to other areas).
• Reviewing Task Description / Basis of Estimate for compliance and adherence to the program or capture plan (analogous, parametric, CERs and engineering estimates).
• Generating and maintaining proposal data files in Propricer and / or Proposal Integration Folders.
• Performing Regression Analysis and single variate CER equation development.
• Supporting customer Request for Information (RFIs), fact finding, updates, and corrective actions.
• Participating or supporting as a member of the contract negotiations team.
• Supporting Certifications Sweeps and process for certifying proposals.
• Supporting Customer / Government Audit on a periodic basis.
• Actively pursuing problem-solving opportunities and suggesting / implementing work-around solutions to improve proposal process.
• Support of affordability and quality initiatives.
