We are partnering with a privately owned manufacturing company that has been in business for over 100 years to hire a Senior Production Manager. We are looking for a candidate that is ready to move into leadership and take ownership of a large multi-million-dollar sector.
Title : Senior Product Manager (Manufacturing Products)
Location : Sycamore, IL (hybrid work schedule- 4 days remote and 1 day in office)
Hire Type : Direct Hire
Salary Range : $125k-$145k base salary with a 10% bonus

Summary : As a Product Manager, you'll be a key player in our organization, collaborating with cross-functional teams like Engineering, Marketing, Sales, and Operations. Your main goal is to make sure our products not only deliver exceptional value but also solve the most critical needs of our customers. You'll act as a subject matter expert throughout the entire product lifecycle, from initial concept to discontinuation, while also tracking market share and working with our sales and channel teams to hit annual targets.
Key Responsibilities :
Lead the full product lifecycle : Manage every phase, from ideation and development to commercialization and discontinuation.Develop product strategy : Use data from market and competitor research to shape and inform product strategy.Be a competitive expert : Deeply analyze the competitive landscape—including pricing, features, and innovation—to build strategies that help us stand out.Create value propositions : Identify target audiences and develop strong value propositions for your product portfolio that align with marketing campaigns.Drive marketing plans : Partner with marketing ops and digital marketing teams to create and execute plans that support your product strategy.Achieve sales goals : Work with sales and channel teams to develop promotions that help meet annual sales objectives.Implement pricing strategies : Collaborate with the channel marketing team to set and implement pricing for all channels carrying your products.Support sales teams : Assist channel and sales leaders with product line reviews and provide training to sales teams and customers as needed.Ensure timely launches : Complete all necessary stage gates on time to ensure product launches are both timely and profitable.Address roadblocks : Work with urgency alongside Engineering, Supply Chain, and Operations to resolve any development issues.Guide product research : Lead research to clearly define end-user pain points and establish marketing requirements during new product development.Develop go-to-market strategies : Partner with the channel team to create commercialization strategies that maximize new product opportunities.Coordinate launches : Ensure seamless execution of commercial launch plans by coordinating with the Marketing Operations and Digital Marketing teams.Qualifications :
Experience : A Bachelor’s degree in a related field and at least 5 years of product management experience. An MBA is a plus.Proven track record : Demonstrated success in driving revenue growth and profitability through marketing and technical consumer durable goods.Fast-paced environment : Experience thriving in an innovative, fast-paced setting with a strong sense of urgency for getting new products to market.Industry knowledge : Prior experience working for a manufacturing or product-driven company.Strategic skills : Knowledge and successful application of the 80 / 20 rule and product line simplification.Travel : Willingness to travel up to 25% as needed.Qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, age, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, protected veteran status, or genetic information.
