Overview
This recruitment will be used to fill five part-time (a maximum of 24 hours per week) Student Technical Assistant positions for the School of Civil & Construction Engineering at Oregon State University (OSU).
Responsibilities
- The School of Civil & Construction Engineering is recruiting students to work in a lab.
- Duties to be determined by hiring unit / supervisor and experimentation in a lab setting, laboratory set-up and maintenance, data collection and analysis, and other related tasks.
- Duties may include, but are not limited to : assist in keeping the lab clean, and working closely with other students.
- Work in a semi-open environment subject to colder temperatures during the winter, warm and humid conditions in the summer.
- Use all manner of common wood and metal shop tools, such as wrenches, screwdrivers, measuring tapes, bolts, hammers, and may include data collection systems to address project goals.
- Must be able to lift 25 kg.
- Complete safety training. Protection gear is necessary and provided by the Laboratory.
- May require sitting or standing for longer periods of time.
- Must be academically enrolled in a high school, community college, or university and pursuing a program or course of study.
