About The Position

Job Title : Dual Modality CT / Rad Tech

Profession : Tech

Hours per Shift : 12 hours

Experience : Two (2) years of CT scanning and General Radiology

License : IN License

Certifications : ARRT (CT and R), BLS

Must-Have :

  • ARRT (CT) (R) and license for practicing state
  • BLS

Description :

The Dual Modality CT / Rad Tech is responsible for producing high-quality diagnostic images using advanced imaging and computer equipment in accordance with professional standards.

This role requires in-depth knowledge of anatomy, physiology, imaging techniques, and radiation safety.

The technologist prepares and educates patients, ensures appropriate age care, and maintains strict adherence to infection control and quality protocols.

Additionally, they may oversee and mentor students during clinical training.

The responsibilities include verifying exam orders and assessing appropriateness using patient data and developmental considerations.

They prepare and position patients for imaging procedures, ensuring optimal image quality.

The technologist operates imaging, computer, and related equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images.

They collaborate with physicians to evaluate images and determine the need for additional imaging.

Applying radiation safety techniques and devices to minimize exposure to patients and staff is essential.

The tech demonstrates knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, imaging techniques, and image quality standards.

Educating patients about procedures and responding to questions or concerns in an age-appropriate manner is also required.

Communication, safety, and care must be tailored to the patient's developmental stage.

The technologist maintains infection control and quality control standards in all imaging procedures.

They supervise and train students during clinical rotations, ensuring safe and effective patient care.
