SpineSearch is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Physician Assistant (PA) to join a busy Orthopedic practice and Walk-In Urgent Care . The ideal candidate will be comfortable working independently and collaboratively to provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced clinical environment. The PA will be responsible for evaluating and treating both new walk-in patients and established patients returning for follow-up visits.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Independently assess, diagnose, and treat a broad range of orthopedic conditions and urgent care complaints.
  • Perform thorough physical examinations and take detailed patient histories.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including X-rays, MRIs, and laboratory work.
  • Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans, including prescribing medications, bracing, injections, and referrals to therapy or surgery as needed.
  • Manage wound care, splinting, casting, and minor procedures.
  • Conduct follow-up visits for post-operative and non-operative patients.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary team members.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record (EHR).
  • Collaborate with orthopedic surgeons and other providers as needed for complex cases.

Qualifications :

  • Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
  • Current and unrestricted PA license in New York.
  • Board Certification by NCCPA.
  • DEA license and ability to prescribe controlled substances.
  • A minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience, preferably in orthopedics, urgent care, or emergency medicine.
  • Strong clinical judgment and ability to work autonomously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
