SpineSearch is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Physician Assistant (PA) to join a busy Orthopedic practice and Walk-In Urgent Care . The ideal candidate will be comfortable working independently and collaboratively to provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced clinical environment. The PA will be responsible for evaluating and treating both new walk-in patients and established patients returning for follow-up visits.
Key Responsibilities :
- Independently assess, diagnose, and treat a broad range of orthopedic conditions and urgent care complaints.
- Perform thorough physical examinations and take detailed patient histories.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including X-rays, MRIs, and laboratory work.
- Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans, including prescribing medications, bracing, injections, and referrals to therapy or surgery as needed.
- Manage wound care, splinting, casting, and minor procedures.
- Conduct follow-up visits for post-operative and non-operative patients.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary team members.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record (EHR).
- Collaborate with orthopedic surgeons and other providers as needed for complex cases.
Qualifications :
Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.Current and unrestricted PA license in New York.Board Certification by NCCPA.DEA license and ability to prescribe controlled substances.A minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience, preferably in orthopedics, urgent care, or emergency medicine.Strong clinical judgment and ability to work autonomously.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
