Job Description & Requirements Specialty : Labor and Delivery Discipline : RN Start Date : 10 / 27 / 2025 Duration : 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift : 12 hours, days, rotating Employment Type : Travel LDRP RN – (Level I Nursery) Contract : 13 weeks Shift : 3x12s, rotating days / nights (6 : 45–7 : 15) Schedule : Weekends / holidays as needed, first to float Hours : 36 per week Unit Details : Unit : LDRP / Level I Nursery & OB Beds : 4 L&D (also used postpartum) OR : C-sections done in main OR; L&D RNs assist and stabilize baby before returning to nursery Triage beds : 1 Annual Births : ~250 / year Ratios : 1 : 2 couplet (adjusted for active labor) Charting : Meditech Fetal Monitoring : GE Corometrics Orientation : 1 week Scrubs : Navy provided Float : To MedSurg, Peds, occasionally ER (if comfortable) Requirements : Experience : L&D, Nursery, and newborn stabilization required Certifications : BLS, NRP ( Preferred : ACLS, STABLE, TNCC) Must be able to titrate Pitocin, Magnesium, and Amp / Gent for babies Radius rule : 50 miles RTO : Max 7 days per 13-week contract (must be listed at submission) Support : Charge : Coordinator present, not taking assignment OB / Neonatologist : Not in-house 24 / 7 (Level I nursery) Anesthesia : On-call, within a few blocks RT : Handles nasal cannula and some CPAP support No surgical techs or nurse aides on unit Environment : Small, friendly hospital with strong teamwork between nurses and physicians Ideal for adaptable, team-oriented nurses comfortable floating between units Guaranteed Hours : 36 / week Job ID 17168372 About Genie Healthcare Genie Healthcare is one of the fastest growing Nurse Travel Agencies in the USA.
