Production Support Quality Technician

Location : Farmington Hills, Michigan

Pay : $20 per hour

Job Summary

Are you a motivated and detail-oriented individual looking for a new opportunity? We're seeking a Production Support Quality Technician to join our team in Farmington Hills, Michigan . In this role, you'll be a vital part of our operations, helping us to ensure the highest standards of quality in Electric Drive Module (EDM) production and testing as we drive innovation in electric mobility.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Production Support Quality Technician , your core responsibilities will include :

Disassembly & Inspection : Assist in the teardown of EDMs and conduct inspections of suspect components to help identify root causes of defects.

Testing Support : Assist in setting up EDMs in the dynamometer lab, monitoring performance, and documenting results to ensure reliable testing processes.

Collaboration & Troubleshooting : Work with Quality and Production teams to analyze and reintroduce repaired EDMs, and participate in problem-solving efforts to resolve testing issues.

In addition, you will also be expected to help maintain a clean and organized work environment and support continuous improvement initiatives.

What We're Looking For

Qualifications :

High school diploma or equivalent required
Technical or vocational training in automotive technology (preferred)
Basic understanding of mechanical principles and tools
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods

Skills :

Communication Skills : Strong written and verbal communication to effectively document findings and collaborate with team members

Problem-Solving Abilities : Critical for identifying root causes during teardown and testing processes

Technical Proficiency : Comfortable using hand tools, measuring devices, and computer systems for documentation and data analysis
