Process Improvement Engineer
Overview
At US Conec, we take pride in designing and manufacturing top-notch fiber-optic connectors that are essential for global communications. We're excited to invite a friendly and innovative Process Improvement Engineer to join our team! In this role, you'll have the opportunity to design, streamline, and enhance our engineering processes, all while driving quality, efficiency, and collaboration across departments in a dynamic and precision-focused environment.
Responsibilities
- Design and document comprehensive end-to-end engineering process flows that meet the needs of our teams and organization.
- Identify and implement process improvements that will not only boost efficiency but also reduce waste and enhance product quality.
- Support the implementation and upgrades of systems that foster collaboration and help minimize errors.
- Maintain and optimize key engineering processes, including connector development, mold development, automation, FAI, and ECNs.
- Manage first-article disposition for production products and keep track of part revisions for molds and tooling.
- Analyze process data, generate insightful reports, and present actionable insights to support our continuous improvement initiatives.
- Help close process gaps and strengthen communication between engineering, production, quality, and other departments.
Must Haves
A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Materials, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.2–5 years of experience in process improvement, manufacturing, quality, or operations engineering.Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen methodologies.Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, Minitab, Power BI, or Tableau.Strong communication, project management, and problem-solving skills.A team-oriented, detail-driven, and proactive mindset.Nice to Haves
Lean or Six Sigma certification (Green Belt, Black Belt).Experience in fiber-optic or plastics manufacturing environments.Prior exposure to ERP / MRP systems and integration workflows.Knowledge of metrology equipment, SPC, and statistical techniques.What We Offer
