Overview
Building Science Project Engineer - Experienced at Partner Engineering & Science, Inc. is a full-time role focusing on property and facility condition assessments and due diligence reports for clients.
Responsibilities
- Conduct assessments of buildings to evaluate the condition of building systems, provide recommendations for immediate repairs, and use observations and industry standards to determine future building system replacements.
- Perform site reconnaissance, data compilation and organization, and project research (historical, regulatory, etc.).
- Author technical reports and prepare quality supporting documents (maps, appendices, etc.).
- Plan, schedule, and track project timelines and milestones; communicate project progress and issues to the Project Manager and client.
- Provide solid recommendations and solutions to the Project Manager and client, considering the potential impact on the transaction process.
- Coordinate and respond to requests for changes in project scope.
Qualifications
Bachelor's or graduate degree in Architecture or related Engineering Field (Civil, Mechanical, etc.).5+ years of experience in architecture, engineering and / or construction / cost estimating.3+ years of experience performing property inspections.2+ years of experience completing similar work for financial institutions.Skills and Abilities
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams).Projects involve travel; valid driver's license and own transportation to project sites.Excellent writing and verbal communication skills.Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently and deliver quality results on time.Ability to cultivate strong relationships within a team.Familiar with civil, structural, and geotechnical engineering principles related to construction and maintenance of structures and systems.Understanding of building component life cycles, system condition evaluation, and replacement costs.Strong observation, deduction, and reasoning skills.Physical requirements : frequent bending, reaching, standing, walking, sitting, pushing, and pulling; ability to climb a ladder.Additional Information

The pay scale for this role considers a wide range of factors including skill sets, experience, licensure and certifications, and other business needs. The disclosed pay scale estimate has not been adjusted for applicable geographic location. Eligible for discretionary incentive bonus program based on performance.
