Manager-RN Quality / Patient Safety
Manages and maintains the development of a comprehensive organizational nursing quality & patient safety improvement program inclusive of analysis & trending data. Promotes a culture of safety within the organization. Leads and promotes a culture of safety. Works closely with the CMO and CQO in developing process improvements that support the elimination of medical / health care errors and other factors that contribute to unintended adverse patient outcomes.

Education & Experience : Bachelor's degree in nursing. Master's degree in Nursing or Health Care Administration preferred. Minimum of 5 years recent acute care experience with at least 2 years supervisory or management experience or process improvement / quality experience. CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES OR REGISTRATION REQUIRED : Valid RN license. CPHQ preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities : Compelling written and verbal communication skills with the ability to tailor messages to individuals and audiences throughout the institution strong knowledge of local, state, federal, & accrediting agencies effective knowledge of process improvement and quality outcomes solid organizational skills with the ability to focus detailed, concentrated effort to multiple projects and re-establish priorities as necessary ability to effectively respond to time-sensitive issues and meet deadlines attention to detail that ensures follow-through on all initiatives implemented and all projects undertaken mastery of desktop applications, including MS office knowledge of EHR Responsibilities
Physical and Environmental Demands : Requires occasional handling or working with potentially dangerous equipment, occasional exposure to biohazardous conditions such as risk of radiation exposure, blood borne pathogens, fumes or airborne particles, and / or toxic or caustic chemicals which mandate attention to safety considerations, frequent working hours significantly beyond regularly scheduled hours, occasional travelling to offsite locations, occasional activities subject to significant volume changes of a seasonal / clinical nature, occasional bending, occasional lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds, occasional crouching / stooping, occasional driving, occasional kneeling, occasional pushing / pulling, occasional reaching, frequent sitting, frequent standing, occasional twisting, and frequent walking.
