Job Description
Overview : The LG Energy Solution-Honda joint venture has partnered with Rose International for Direct hire recruiting services for this role.
Summary :
The Quality Assurance Engineer 1 is responsible for ensuring a product or component meets the established standards of quality including reliability, usability and performance. This role directly supports manufacturing quality assurance involving failure investigations and root cause analysis using appropriate analysis process, skill and equipment. Communicate effectively within all levels of organization to discuss and resolve quality issues in a timely manner.
Responsibilities :
Evaluate Incoming, In-Process, and Outgoing product quality for compliance with standardsUnderstand standard functional quality requirements and related inspection processMaster the operation of the Quality test equipment to ensure accurate and reliable test resultsPerform daily Quality checks and random sampling to monitor production operations compliance to the specificationManage rejected products, material, and equipment which does not meet specificationIdentify, resolve, and confirm counter measure effectiveness on non-conforming product issuesWork with cross functional Teams (Engineers / Technicians / Operators) to expediate complex problem resolution and problem prevention recurrenceMaintain high standards of workmanship by monitoring manufacturing process capabilities to complete in-depth assessments and promote solutionsEnsure compliance with Health / Safety / Environmental / and Fire regulationsChampion a work environment focused on quality, communication, integration, and team collaborationMaintain cleanliness at the worksite in accordance with 5S standards :o Sort, Set in, Shine, Standardize, Sustain
Perform various other duties and projects as assignedEducation / Experience :
Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Engineering Technology0 to 3+ years of experience in manufacturing related job or equivalent relevant experienceExperience in a Quality or Manufacturing role in a fast-paced environment, including internship or co-op experience is a plusKnowledge / Skills :
Battery production related knowledge a plusKnowledge of IATF16949 standards a plusKnowledge of Minitab, Six Sigma, 8D problem solving methodology a plusExcellent communication skills : verbal, written and technical presentationsCritical thinking and an analytical approach to problem solvingStrong self-motivation and desire to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environmentAbility to multitask and solve complex problemsBilingual (Korean / English) or Multilingual (Korean / English / Japanese) proficiency a plusAdditional Requirements :
