Freelance Senior Linguist

A company is looking for a Freelance Senior Linguist specializing in Marketing and Life Sciences for the Oromo language.

Key Responsibilities

Translate and copy edit content in specified subject matter areas such as Investigator facing, Patient facing, and Pharmacy material

Utilize various CAT tools and MS Office applications to enhance translation quality and efficiency

Collaborate with a team of freelance language experts on multiple accounts and programs

Required Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of experience in translation and copy editing in relevant subject areas

Professional level understanding of English (US / GB)

Native level expertise in Oromo with a strong understanding of cultural nuances

Familiarity with CAT tools such as XTM, Phrase, Trados, Jira, and Smartling

Desirable : Translation degree or equivalent experience (3 years with a degree or 5 years without)
