Unit : Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU)

Start Date : October 13, 2025

End Date : January 12, 2026

Duration : 13-week contract

Shift : Night shifts, 3x12-hour (7 : 00pm – 7 : 00am), with holiday rotation

Hours per Week : 36

Estimated Weekly Salary : $1570 - $1680

Patient Ratio : 1 : 2

Weekend Requirement : Every other weekend

Float Requirement : Float within critical care and intermediate step-down units

Charting System : Epic EMR

Scrub Color : Royal Blue

Parking : Free onsite parking

CVICU RN Qualifications

Active South Carolina RN license or Compact nursing license (required before start)

Minimum 1 year of recent CVICU nursing experience

Previous travel nurse experience required

Certifications : ACLS, BLS, NIHSS (American Heart Association preferred)

Strong cardiac care experience required

Epic charting experience preferred

Ability to work every other weekend and participate in holiday rotation

Must reside outside a 60-mile radius (no local candidates)

Flu vaccine required (medical / religious exemptions considered)

Registered Nurse Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in the Cardiovascular ICU

Manage patients with complex cardiac conditions, including post-open heart surgery

Operate advanced cardiac equipment : chest tubes, IABP, Impella, CRRT, temporary pacers, Swan Ganz, cardiac output monitors

Administer and titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (respiratory therapy, phlebotomy, etc.)

Float to critical care and step-down units as needed

Maintain accurate documentation using Epic EMR

Participate in emergency response teams during hurricane season (June–November)
