Job Title : Non-CDL Box Truck Driver (Donation Pickup Driver)

Location : Albuquerque, NM

Job Type : Full-time

Compensation : $16.00 - $19.00 per hour (based on experience)

Schedule : Four 10-hour shifts per week, starting at 7 : 00 AM until job completion (typically 9-11 hours per shift). Weekend availability required.

Job Summary

Big Brothers Big Sisters Donation Center is seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Non-CDL Box Truck Driver to assist with the pickup, transportation, and delivery of donated goods throughout the Albuquerque area. This role requires professionalism, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to handle physically demanding tasks. The ideal candidate is comfortable with heavy lifting, working outdoors, and representing our organization in a professional and courteous manner.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely operate box trucks for donation pickups, transportation, and deliveries.
  • Load, unload, lift, and stack donated items of various shapes and sizes (up to 50 lbs. frequently).
  • Navigate stairs, inclines, and other obstacles while transporting donations.
  • Provide outstanding customer service and professionalism when interacting with donors, event coordinators, and other stakeholders.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Adhere to all company safety protocols and driving regulations.
  • Work four shifts per week (typically 9-11 hours per shift), starting at 7 : 00 AM.
  • Be available for weekend shifts as part of the regular schedule.

Benefits & Compensation

  • Hourly Pay : $16.00 - $19.00 per hour (based on experience)

  • 12 vacation days in the first year
  • 20 vacation days per year starting in the second year
  • 30 vacation days per year starting in the sixth year (for full-time staff)

    Requirements : Requirements

  • Must have a valid New Mexico driver’s license , a clean MVD record , and proof of insurance .
  • Minimum age requirement : 21 years old .
  • Prior professional driving experience and experience in physically demanding labor roles are strongly preferred.
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check, drug screening, and physical examination .
  • CDL is NOT required for this position.
