Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced litigator to serve as a strategic legal partner across the organization. This role will provide guidance on a variety of legal matters including litigation oversight, employment law, regulatory affairs, safety protocols, and contract evaluation. The successful candidate will offer practical legal insights and effective solutions in a dynamic, transportation-centered setting.
Primary Duties
- Lead and manage legal issues such as lawsuits, claims, and collaboration with external legal firms.
- Provide legal support to HR and leadership on employment topics including recruitment, disciplinary procedures, terminations, and internal investigations.
- Work closely with internal teams to offer legal advice and propose proactive approaches to minimize risk and ensure compliance.
- Prepare, assess, and negotiate various contracts, including service-level agreements, client arrangements, and transportation-related documents.
- Ensure adherence to applicable federal, state, and industry regulations (e.g., FMCSA, DOT, OSHA).
- Contribute to the creation and refinement of company policies and internal practices to mitigate legal exposure.

Required Qualifications
Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from a recognized law schoolActive legal license in the state of OhioSolid experience in litigation, labor & employment law, and / or regulatory matters.Skilled in contract analysis and negotiationStrong critical thinking, communication, and organizational abilitiesMust be open to working in office daily
