Job Summary

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide high-quality in home support to individuals

The ideal candidate will have experience in patient care and a genuine desire to improve the quality of life for those they assist.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.

Provide personal care and support for individuals with disabilities, including those with developmental disabilities and Alzheimer’s or dementia.

Maintain a clean and safe living environment by performing light housekeeping duties.

Engage clients in social activities to promote mental well-being and companionship.

Providing stabilization while walking

Arranging for medical and dental care including transportation to and from appointments

Providing or arranging for social interaction

Maintaining a clean and safe environment for clients

Administering medication as prescribed and monitoring clients for any changes in health status.

Offering companionship and engaging clients in meaningful activities to promote mental well-being.

Implementing behaviour management techniques for clients with Alzheimer’s or dementia care needs.

Qualifications

Previous experience in caregiving, home health, or long-term care settings is preferred.

Knowledge of first aid and CPR certification is a plus.

Experience working with individuals with autism or other developmental disabilities is highly desirable.

Strong patient observation skills to identify changes in condition or behavior.

Ability to perform heavy lifting as required for patient transfers and mobility assistance.

Familiarity with memory care techniques and dementia care practices is beneficial.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams.

Experience

Candidates should possess the following skills and experience :

Previous experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or senior care settings is highly desirable.

Familiarity with hospice care practices and first aid is an advantage.

A background in nursing or relevant healthcare qualifications will be considered an asset.
