Required Skills & Abilities\nStrong knowledge of general nursing theories and practices\nAbility to assess, manage, and respond to life-threatening conditions and emergencies\nProficiency in critical medication administration and arrhythmia detection / management\nAbility to evaluate patient acuity using the ESI triage method\nMust demonstrate competency in unit-specific skills\nCapable of managing IV therapy and emergency interventions\nEffective verbal communication and team leadership skills\nAbility to work under pressure, evaluate alternatives, and use sound judgment\nMust demonstrate confidentiality, professionalism, tact, and diplomacy\nWillingness to work irregular schedules, including weekends and holidays\nMust be able to function as a Charge Nurse when needed\nRequired participation in Rapid Response / Code Blue team
Education & Certifications\nCurrent unrestricted RN license in the State of South Carolina\nSuccessful completion of nursing service orientation program\nIV therapy training and / or competency within one year\nAnnual participation in Skills Fair and completion of competency checklists\nMaintains any required department-specific certifications\nMust have current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications\nTNCC certification required within one year of hire\nAdvanced certification in specialty and / or participation in professional nursing organizations encouraged
