Manager, Community Public Affairs
The Manager, Community Public Affairs leads grassroots outreach and media engagement efforts to increase awareness and education about organ and tissue donation and transplantation. This role builds strategic relationships with community-based organizations, media outlets, influencers, and civic leaders to amplify LiveOnNYs mission. The manager develops and executes public affairs plans that reflect community needs, stakeholder priorities, and organizational visibility goals.
Responsibilities
Maintains community affairs awareness within designated geographies, communities or demographics to identify opportunities and / or partnerships to enhance organ and tissue donation awareness.
Analyzes data, studies, and community feedback to identify barriers to donation and inform outreach strategies.
Assesses educational needs of target audiences and contributes to the development of relevant programs and materials.
Organizes presentations and informational sessions; secures speaking engagements at health fairs, conferences, community forums, etc.
Collaborates across departments to ensure consistent messaging and delivery of outreach services.
Maintains records of outreach activities and program evaluations for themselves and direct reports. Additionally provides guidance and support to direct reports ensuring goals and objectives are achieved.
Supports continuous process improvement and contributes to departmental learning and innovation.
The ability and willingness to travel and work outside of normal office hours is required.

Qualifications
Education Required :
Bachelor's degree required in public administration, communications, political science, journalism, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
Experience Required :
Minimum five years related progressive experience in media and / or community relations of which at least two years are in a managerial role. Demonstrated success in identifying media opportunities and building strategic partnerships. Computer literacy required. Salesforce experience preferred. Excellent communications skills a must. Presentation, training and conflict resolution skills necessary.
Language Requirement :
Must have professional proficiency in Spanish and English.
Work Schedule :
While the work hours for this position is typically between the hours of 9am- 5pm, you will be requested to attend events during the weekends.

Salary Range : $100,000- $110,000 annually
