Join Our Dynamic Market Transformation Team
We are looking for a Residential HVAC Channel Manager to join our growing Market Transformation team! This role will report to the Initiative Manager - ASHPs. The Market Transformation team is responsible for accelerating the development and adoption of emerging energy efficiency technologies, bringing efficiency and electrification technologies and practices more rapidly to scale.
The Residential HVAC Channel Manager is responsible for helping to catalyze residential air source heat pump (ASHP) technology in the market to reach aggressive adoption goals. This person will work with new energy-efficient technologies and find creative and impactful ways to grow adoption quickly to achieve customer and societal benefits. Ideal candidates are HVAC experts seeking a role where they can apply their talents to a larger mission of positive change in the industry. They are persuasive and skilled at engaging HVAC installation contractors, distributors, and manufacturers in collaborating on new ways to increase adoption of energy-efficient and carbon-reducing ASHPs. The person in this role will develop partnerships, work collaboratively with key market actors, and deliver product training for the key technologies outlined.

What You'll Do
Market Engagement & Relationship Building
Accelerate adoption of energy-efficient products through strategic supply-chain engagement, with a focus on residential ASHPsDevelop productive working partnerships with HVAC installation contractors, distributors, wholesalers, and equipment manufacturers to align market conditions and increase sales of ASHPsLead distributor engagement to encourage enhanced contractor training support through a distributor cohort, dissemination of white-labeled curriculum and deployment of an incentive for distributors to increase hands on equipment in training centersMaintain a directory of supply chain contacts and map market players and conditionsOther duties as assigned or apparentDevelop & Deliver Resources and Training
Develop educational resources for installation, program, and sales strategy in collaboration with market partnersSupport the development of training curriculum for installation, program, and sales strategy in collaboration with the training team and market partnersDeliver training to residential HVAC installation contractors to increase familiarity with efficient technology, understand installation best practices and sales techniquesOther duties as assigned or apparentTrack Market Trends
Lead the process and implementation of distributor data collection to enable tracking and claiming of energy savings through ETAGather market intelligence and contribute to program strategy developmentTrack and understand technology research and national developments around ASHP technology to assist in the development of technical best practices and local resourcesOther duties as assigned or apparentSkills & Knowledge We're Looking For
3+ years of technical experience in residential or commercial HVAC or energy-efficiency industryStrong motivation to work in the energy-efficiency fieldProficiency in presentation delivery and meeting facilitationExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAn equivalent combination of education, experience, and training that would provide the knowledge, skills and abilities required for the successful performance of the essential job duties will also be consideredPreferred Qualifications
Degree or certification in a related field required (Business, HVAC, etc.)3+ years of experience at HVAC installer, distributor or manufacturer company3+ years of experience in HVAC training or sales in a related industryExperience working with utility energy efficiency programsCompensation
Dependent on qualifications and experience, we expect the pay range upon hire for this position will be $81,500-85,500.
