We are currently seeking an experienced, dynamic, and analytical Vice President of Accounting and Finance. The Vice President of Accounting and Finance will be responsible for planning, organizing, and directing the activities of the Accounting and Finance departments. Establishes policies and procedures to ensure the Credit Union prepares and produces accurate and timely financial information. This position is responsible for the general accounting, billing and payment systems, financial analysis, financial reporting, and internal / external audits. The incumbent is responsible for ensuring all Accounting and Finance operations are in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), all Federal, State, NCUA and other regulatory agencies rules and regulations. In addition, the Vice President of Accounting and Finance is responsible for facilitating, responding to questions and / or providing information upon request from internal and external members and clients.
This is a hybrid position based in Maryland. It will require frequent trips to work onsite at the headquarters.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration
Minimum eight (8) years of experience within a financial institution's Accounting / Finance team to include financial reporting, managing investments, ALM, financial planning and analysis
Minimum five (5) years supervisory
Strong research, analytical and problem-solving
Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office
Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and overall communication
Ability to handle multiple projects
Must be enthusiastic, versatile, and flexible with a willingness to work within shifting priorities
