- Competitive, based on experience Job Title : Buyer I Location : Spring, TX Schedule : Monday–Friday | 40 hours per week Position Overview The Buyer I will support procurement and supply chain management activities within the Upstream Unconventional business unit , with a focus on executing commercial strategies for categories including PVFF / MRO, Sand, Chemicals, and Rotating Equipment .
- This role will handle requisitions, purchase orders, and vendor management, ensuring timely and accurate procurement processes to support operations.
Key Responsibilities Validate vendor setup in procurement / accounting systems Form, issue, and administer purchase orders and change orders ($10K–$100K+) Facilitate and analyze quotations across business units Assist in resolving accounts payable issues tied to purchase orders Conduct simple commercial negotiations, including terms and conditions Build and manage vendor relationships Collaborate with Procurement Managers, Category Managers, and Supply Chain Operations teams Interface with Legal, Finance, and Unconventional Business Unit stakeholders Skills and Qualifications Education :
BA / BS in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, or related field preferred Equivalent professional experience considered in lieu of degree Experience : 1–5 years in procurement, contract administration, materials management, or supply chain Oil & gas industry experience strongly preferred Familiarity with Source-to-Pay process Technical Skills : Proficient in Microsoft Office, Oracle / SAP, OpenInvoice, and PowerBI Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills Personal Attributes : Self-starter with excellent organizational skills Strong attention to detail; able to manage competing priorities Customer service-oriented with strong communication skills Comfortable working in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments Willingness to work overtime and / or on call if required Powered by JazzHR
