Registered Nurse (RN)\nFloat Pool\nInternal Agency II\nDays\n\nRN Float\nProvides direct patient care to patients using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.\nPerforms House Supervisor responsibilities as needed to meet the needs of the facility. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action\n\nEssential Functions\nPerforms plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as well as other medical care treatment.\nDocuments patient care given.\nMonitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family.\nAssists patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.\nCollaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual / psychosocial support needs.\nEvaluates learning needs of patient and / or family and provides patient / family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.\nWorks as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.\nDetermines, coordinates and supervises daily staffing assignments and levels.\nProvides direction, orientation, training, coaching, and mentoring to staff. Performs or assists with\nperformance evaluations and disciplinary actions.\nAssesses and ensures quality of services delivered and facilitates staff development programs. Ensures staff compliance with departmental and organizational policies, procedures, and protocols.\nPerforms staff responsibilities as needed to fulfill required service levels.\nLeads the handling and resolution of complex issues and complaints.\n\nNon-Essential Functions\nPosition serves both internal co-workers and external customers, clients, patients, contractors, and vendors.\nAccess to and / or works with sensitive and / or confidential information.\nExhibit a comprehensive understanding of healthcare regulatory and compliance (e.g., HIPAA). Skilled in the application of policies and procedures.
