Job Details

Are you a seasoned tax professional looking for an exciting new challenge? Our company is seeking a Permanent Senior Tax Manager to join our dynamic Accounting and Finance team. This is a unique opportunity to apply your expertise in Federal & State Tax, Income Tax, Tax Returns, and Corporations in a fast-paced, innovative environment. The successful candidate will play a critical role in managing our company's tax operations, ensuring compliance, and optimizing tax strategies. This position requires a minimum of 5+ years of experience in a similar role.

Responsibilities

Spearhead the development and implementation of efficient tax strategies to support the company's financial objectives.

Oversee the preparation and filing of all federal, state, and local tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable tax laws.

Collaborate with the accounting team to prepare and review financial statements, reconciliations, and tax reports.

Provide expert advice on tax-related issues, including mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, and corporate restructuring.

Manage tax audits and inquiries, liaising with external auditors and tax authorities as needed.

Keep abreast of the latest tax regulations and legislation, assessing their impact on the company's operations and advising management accordingly.

Foster a collaborative environment, mentoring junior staff and promoting continuous learning and improvement within the tax team.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. A Master's degree in Taxation or a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is highly desirable.

Minimum of 5+ years of experience in corporate tax management, preferably in the Accounting and Finance industry.

In-depth knowledge of federal and state tax regulations, income tax, tax returns, and corporate tax planning.

Proven track record in managing tax audits and negotiations with tax authorities.

Exceptional analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide effective solutions.

Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a commitment to developing and mentoring junior staff.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex tax concepts to non-tax professionals and stakeholders.

Proficiency in tax software and other relevant computer applications.

Demonstrated commitment to staying updated on new tax laws and accounting standards.
