Quality Manager

The Quality Manager is a hands-on leadership role focused on driving continuous improvement in manufacturing, packaging, and logistics processes to reduce customer complaints and enhance product quality. This role involves extensive time on the production floor conducting audits, training, and supporting new product introductions. The manager oversees ISO compliance, maintains the quality management system, and leads initiatives such as error-proofing, containment actions, and corrective measures. This role will also play a key role in helping with ISO recertifications and audits and help gear towards AS9100 certification as they break more into aerospace and defense.

Responsibilities :

  • Guide quality staff in developing APQP documentation.
  • Manage internal audits and ensure ISO compliance.
  • Analyze trends in customer complaints and implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate across departments to resolve quality issues.
  • Conduct audits and training on the production floor.
  • Support new product introductions.
  • Exemplify integrity and uphold company standards.
  • Foster a safe and professional work environment.

Essential Skills :

  • ISO 9001 and AS9100 certifications.
  • 4+ years of quality or engineering experience in a machine shop lead position.
  • 4+ years of experience with gages such as dial, calipers, micrometers, optical comparators, dial bore gages, and CMM.
  • Additional Skills & Qualifications :

  • Experience in error-proofing and corrective measures.
  • Ability to conduct audits and training.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Work Environment :

    This position is based in a machine shop environment, which can be dirtier than typical office settings. Candidates need to be comfortable working in such conditions and be willing to engage hands-on in the production process.

    Pay and Benefits :

    The pay range for this position is $40.86 - $45.67 / hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
