Job Summary and Qualifications As a Surgery RN you will provide professional nursing care to patients utilizing the nursing process. You will collaborate with other members of the health care delivery team including physicians, to deliver quality health care. You will demonstrates knowledge and application of the nursing process. You will participate and cooperate in the unit based Quality Improvement processes.

• You will support, maintain and provide an environment which is supportive of quality patient care through effective use of resources and personnel.
• You will practice, develop and endorse customer service skills in relationships with internal and external customers.
• You will serve as the patient and family advocate with respect to the patient’s right to privacy by protecting confidential information.
• You will plan and implement patient care and teaching based on a total assessment and the age of the patient.
• You will evaluate and document patient response; monitor and recognize changes in physiological and psychosocial status; takes appropriate action based on assessment of the patient. Job Requirements Experience
• Minimum 1 year experience as an Operating Room RN Education
• Associates degree in Nursing
• Bachelors in Science in Nursing (preferred) Licenses and Certifications
• Texas registered nurse license
• Basic Life Support certification (BLS)
• ACLS certification within 6 months of transfer or hire to department
• PALS certification within 6 months of transfer or hire to department
