Job Title : Maintenance Assistant - Part Time

Job Summary :

Garden Valley Retirement Village is seeking a dedicated and reliable Maintenance Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in the upkeep and repair of facilities, ensuring a safe and functional environment for all employees and visitors.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical, and HVAC repairs
  • Assist in the inspection of buildings and equipment to identify maintenance needs
  • Support the maintenance team in completing work orders and scheduled maintenance
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance tools and equipment
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff and management
  • Follow safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment

Skills and Qualifications :

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in maintenance or a related field preferred
  • Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects
