Pay Rate : $27.00–$28.00 per hour

Job Summary :

The Patient Care Technician (Dialysis) provides direct, hands-on care to patients undergoing hemodialysis treatment under the supervision of a licensed nurse. This role involves ensuring accurate documentation, assisting with patient assessments, and maintaining patient safety throughout the dialysis process. The technician plays an essential part in supporting quality care, infection control, and emergency response procedures in a collaborative clinical environment.

Key Responsibilities :

Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a licensed nurse.

Assist nurses with pre- and post-dialysis patient assessments and record findings accurately.

Monitor and document dialysis treatment parameters on flow sheets and report any significant changes to the supervisor.

Maintain accurate and timely documentation related to patient treatments and clinical procedures.

Assist with all emergency operational procedures in compliance with facility standards.

Initiate basic CPR measures in the event of cardiac or pulmonary arrest.

Respond promptly to emergency situations during dialysis treatments.

Adhere to all infection control, safety, and patient confidentiality guidelines.

Foster a supportive and respectful environment for patients and staff.

Required Experience :

Previous patient care experience in a hospital, clinic, or related facility preferred but not required.

Successful completion of a hemodialysis training program in the theory and practice of dialysis care.

Current CPR certification required.

Required Education & Certifications :

High school diploma or GED required.

Education in physical sciences or training in laboratory techniques preferred.
