Psychiatric RN Job Details Location : Idaho Falls, ID 83404 (Idaho nursing jobs) Facility Setting : Behavioral Health Adult Unit (74 beds) Assignment Type : Travel Registered Nurse (RN) Start Date : November 3, 2025 End Date : February 2, 2026 Contract Duration : 13 weeks Shift : 7 : 00 PM – 7 : 00 AM (12-hour night shifts) Hours per Week : 36 Estimated Weekly Salary : $1,470–$1,570 per week Dress Code : Navy scrubs Weekend Requirement : Rotating weekends Registered Nurse Qualifications Active Idaho Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing Graduate of an accredited nursing program (BSN preferred) Current BLS / BCLS certification (American Red Cross or American Heart Association) Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) / Nonviolent Crisis Intervention certification (within 30 days of hire) Minimum 1 year of psychiatric nursing or chemical dependency experience preferred; new RNs with a strong interest in behavioral health are encouraged to apply Strong communication skills, positive attitude, and trauma-informed care approach Psychiatric RN Responsibilities Provide direct physical and psychosocial nursing care to adult behavioral health patients using the nursing process (assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, evaluation) Deliver holistic, patient-centered care tailored to individual mental health needs Advocate for patient safety and ensure compliance with core healthcare measures Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team Communicate effectively with physicians, therapists, and other clinical staff to optimize patient outcomes Utilize clinical equipment including glucometers, oxygen therapy, tube feeding apparatus, and Meditech EMR Apply now to join our healthcare team and make a difference in behavioral health nursing in Idaho Falls!
