Overview

In this role, you will be responsible for all preconstruction activities on large food, beverage and consumer manufacturing projects, including developing preliminary budgets, value engineering, preconstruction schedules, procurement plan, prequalification of subcontractors, detailed take-off and estimating, definition of bid package scopes, and evaluation of bids.

Job Responsibilities

• Pre-Estimate : participate in design review meetings, review scope and constructability, lead estimate plan meeting, develop estimate plan.
• Estimate Development : lead team of estimators, compile work products, manage RFI lists, track progress, communicate deadlines, coordinate tax and insurance, ensure compliance, lead review meetings.
• Subcontractor Management : maintain relationships, develop search strategy, receive quotes, manage vendor bid list, lead bid package development, coordinate with operational resources.
• Post Estimate : submit project budget, assist scope review, support subcontractor selection, compile lessons learned, communicate budget lessons.
• Database Maintenance : maintain subcontractor and bid form databases, cost history, estimating database.
• Training : train Preconstruction Specialists, aid training program development.
• Travel : attend local subcontractor meetings, bid walks, conferences; 5-20% travel.

Physical Requirements

Ordinary ambulatory skills to visit other locations; ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and lift 10-50 pounds. Good hand-eye coordination and dexterity to use a keyboard and read application information.
