G.E.D or High School Diploma or equivalent experience. OSHA regulations, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and machine / equipment repair. Experience working with vulnerable populations. Ability to be professional, flexible, respectful, and calm. Ability to work well with others. Ability to lead by example. Must have a Florida State Driver’s License with “safe driver” classification. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Computer Literate. Bilingual in English and Spanish and / or English and Creole preferred.

SUMMARY :
Maintain and repair equipment and machinery found in cafeterias, laundries, offices, dorms and warehouse (major repairs are performed by a licensed contractor). For all locations as needed - Emergency after hours work as needed - Shift / schedule may change as needed.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Perform routine preventative maintenance on all mechanical equipment
- Ensure machines run smoothly, building systems operate efficiently, and the physical condition of buildings does not deteriorate
- Perform a daily inspection of the facility grounds, dorms and offices
- Complete daily duties assigned by Maintenance Supervisor
