Overview

We're looking for an Accounting Manager to oversee accounting operations, financial reporting, and compliance across a diverse real estate portfolio. This is a hands-on role with a mix of technical accounting, investor reporting, and leadership responsibilities, including managing a small accounting team and contributing to strategic finance initiatives.

What You'll Do as the Accounting Manager

Lead month-end and year-end close processes and prepare consolidated financial statements.

Manage bank reconciliations, loan draws, cash flow reporting, and partner distributions.

Oversee payroll processing, 401(k) contributions, and partnership tax compliance (including K-1s).

Coordinate with auditors and tax professionals for annual audits and reviews.

Track capital contributions, allocations, and distributions across complex partnership structures.

Monitor project-level performance, debt compliance, and financial covenants.

Supervise and mentor accounting staff while ensuring accuracy and timeliness in A / R and A / P functions.

Drive process improvements to strengthen reporting, efficiency, and operational controls.

Provide special project analysis and ad hoc reporting for leadership and investors.

Qualifications of the Accounting Manager

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred).

4+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in real estate development, construction, or investment.

Knowledge of partnership accounting and real estate structures.

Advanced Microsoft Excel skills; Sage 300 experience strongly preferred.
