Coordinate Measuring Machine Programmer(CMM)

Overview

Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) Programmer for GE Aerospace manufacturing support. The role involves programming CMMs using Renishaw MODUS software to write, edit, troubleshoot, and validate CMM programs for dimensional inspection of jet engine components. The candidate should be able to read and interpret drawings using Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).

Responsibilities

• Develop CMM programs using MODUS software; offline programming at an advanced level.
• Read and understand prints / drawings and apply GD&T.
• Develop planning, processes, and work instructions.
• Troubleshoot and prove-out CMM / MODUS programs; conduct GR&R validations and validate work using multiple techniques.
• Develop CAD-based CMM inspection programs from models and prints.
• Work autonomously and collaboratively to identify needs and validation plans; provide proactive support to meet manufacturing requirements.
• Follow system standards for development, implementation, and change management of metrology processes.
