Our Client, a Retail Pharmacy company, is looking for a Nurse Practitioner for their San Antonio, TX location.
Responsibilities :
- Provide Primary and Family evidenced-based care inclusive of accurate assessment, diagnosis, treatment, management of health problems, health counseling, and disposition planning for our patients.
- Provide administrative duties to include but not limited to opening / closing the clinic, inventory, patient follow up, verifying insurance and collecting payment, maintaining a clean environment.
- Be responsible for handling patient appointments and performing routine examinations to ensure positive patient health outcomes
- Perform duties including speaking with patients about healthy lifestyle choices, completing diagnostic tests to help diagnose and treat patients for injuries or illnesses and coordinating with other healthcare professionals to maintain a comprehensive plan of care
- Encourage patients to become active participants in their own healthcare and well-being through services such as health screenings, behavioral health and wellness, chronic condition management
Requirements :
Completion of Physician Assistant program with current National Board Certification and State of Employment license to practice.A minimum of 1 year of recent Primary Care experience as a Part in either a family medicine or primary care practice preferred.If not, successful completion of client primary care training program.Working knowledge and understanding of quality measurement in the management of chronic disease conditionsSelf- motivated, prioritizes and solves problems, takes initiative, and advocates for their patients and their practiceEffective verbal, written, and electronic communication skillsOutstanding organizational skills and ability to multi-taskInitiative, problem solving ability, adaptability, and flexibilityAbility to work remotely in a clinical care team cultureAbility to work without direct supervision and practice autonomouslyIs proficient with information management and technologyWillingness to obtain multi-state licensuresCapacity to collaborate with professional colleagues frequently to ensure quality patient careCompletion of a : Masters of Science in Physician Assistant Studies (or other health-related Masters Degree in conjunction with Bachelors of Science in Physician Assistant Studies) with current National Board Certification and State of Employment license to practice in the role required.Why Should You Apply?
