Custodian Position at Oregon Health Authority

The Oregon Health Authority (OHA), Oregon State Hospital (OSH) Environmental Services Department is recruiting for Custodians. As part of the team, these positions provide a clean, healthy, and therapeutic environment for the patients and staff by meeting agency cleanliness standards. As a Custodian, you will perform some of the following duties :

• Clean and disinfect all substances, spills, and / or accidents.
• Pick-up and deliver bio-hazard waste and sharps to designated secure storage area.
• Disinfect patient wards when infectious disease outbreaks occur.
• Sweep, dust, mop, and / or buff hard surfaces.
• Vacuum and spot clean carpets and remove trash.
• Scrub, rinse and refinish floors; clean, shampoo and extract carpets and upholstered furniture.
• Clean and maintain custodial equipment.
• Prep floors and walls for remodel and / or renovation projects.

These positions are full-time, permanent, classified positions which are represented by a union. Oregon State Hospital (OSH) Custodian positions receive a 10% pay differential above their base rate of pay.
