Gen Main Tech II

Overview

Provides skilled planned and corrective cross-functional maintenance and repair services specializing in electrical and including carpentry, HVAC and plumbing for designated facilities on the Columbia campus of the University of South Carolina.

Requires job related accreditation from a technical school or an applicable skilled trades program and 2 or more years of job related experience, which may be substituted by an equivalent combination of job related certification, training, education, and / or experience.

Journeyman certification in HVAC, plumbing, or electrical.

Driver's license required.

Ability to develop and maintain strong customer service skills, maintain harmonious working relationship with departmental staff, work independently, maintain functional awareness of typical hazards with in the work.
