What You Will Do - Essential Functions
The Senior Procurement Specialist reports to the Senior Director Procurement and supports the procurement function by managing vendor relationships, negotiating contracts, and ensuring timely and cost-effective procurement of goods and services. This role plays a key part in optimizing procurement processes, maintaining compliance, and contributing to strategic sourcing initiatives.
Procurement and Planning
Assist in developing and executing procurement strategies aligned with business goals, which include merger and acquisition activities
Create purchase orders and document records to support business functions and objectives.
Prepare reports and presentations for management on procurement performance
Vendor Management and Contracting
Manage vendor relationships, including vendor onboarding, performance evaluation, and issue resolution.
Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with vendors to ensure value and compliance.
Provide feedback to our legal team and stakeholders on contract language.
Operational Execution and Compliance
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand purchasing needs and specifications.
Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and other procurement activities.
Ensure compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and ethical standards.
Who You Are
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
5+ years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain operations.
Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Knowledge of contract law, vendor management, and sourcing best practices.
Previous experience negotiating IT contracts.
Ability to work independently and lead strategic projects in a fast-paced environment
Ability to pass background check upon hire and throughout employment to include criminal felony & misdemeanor search, SSN validation / trace search (LEIE), education report (highest degree obtained), civil upper and lower search, 7-year employment report, federal criminal search, statewide criminal search, widescreen plus national criminal search, health care sanctions-state med (SAM), national sex offender registry, prohibited parties (OFAC) (terrorist watchlist), and a 10-Panel Drug Screen.

Working Conditions :
Work is performed from home with company-provided equipment. Sitting for long periods of time is expected and use of fingers and hands for typing is necessary.
A quiet workspace with minimal background noise for calls.
High-speed internet service (cable or fiber optic) with minimum download Speed of 20 Mbps, Upload Speed of 5 Mbps, and Maximum Latency of 100 milliseconds (must be installed before starting).
