Initiative – Proactively identify responsibilities, seek work, drive goal attainment. Problem Solving – Apply tools and techniques to resolve operational problems. Mechanical Maintenance – Install, maintain and repair mechanical components in power plants and oil & gas applications. Safety – Apply safety procedures and regulatory requirements. PLC – Design, implement and operate automated process controls. Troubleshooting – Diagnose and resolve technical problems in manufacturing environments. Located in or willing to relocate to Ontario-Toronto Area. Technical qualification, license, certificate or completed apprenticeship, or equivalent experience. 5+ years related work experience in power generation and / or gas compressors. 5+ years related industry experience in mechanics, maintenance engineering or field engineering. High school diploma, GED or equivalent. Willingness to travel 75-100% of the time within Canada and USA. Capable of cross-disciplinary work. Legal work authorization in Canada and the United States. Clean driving record (no moving violations within the last 12 months, no DUI in last 7 years). Familiarity with rotating equipment. Experience in mechanical or instrumentation / electrical roles. Knowledge of gas turbine theory, control logic and downstream processes. Proficiency with MS Office suite. Programming and basic troubleshooting on PLC systems. Experience in overseas / offshore environments; familiarity with PLC systems. We are hiring to fill an existing position.

Role Definition
Installs, maintains and troubleshoots equipment at the customer's location using tools, parts and technical diagrams. Responsibilities include on-site preventive maintenance, inspection service, call-out services and commissioning of turbomachinery and packaged systems.
Responsibilities
- Use test equipment to diagnose and identify malfunctions, referencing schematics and manufacturer specifications.
- Use hand tools, gauges and instruments to repair or replace faulty parts, and utilize digital tools and systems.
- Check for common causes of trouble, such as dirty or defective components; clean and lubricate equipment as required.
- Perform routine installations and make adjustments to equipment within normal procedures.
Degree Requirement
Degree or equivalent experience desired.
