NOTES :

Ideal candidate is a foundational Linux person supporting enterprise level environments and has worked with Linux along with GCP and Nutanix.

AWS is also nice to have, but not as desirable as GCP.

Linux Cloud Compute Team - They support a Catalog of other things, but Linux is the foundation

LINUX OS is what they support and the "Compute" - the server itself.

Linux Nutanix -

MQ Experience (Moving this to Nutanix)

Will support AWS as well. And WILL be supporting Google Cloud - Linux team will be the GCP Ops support team.

Foundationally a Linux person.

GCP is the highest priority for a skill of need.

moving from VMWare to Nutanix.

Responsibilities

Linux Cloud Compute engineer in the Infrastructure Operations organization

Monitor, manage and maintenance of the Linux, Compute, Storage, AWS and GCP resources.

Administer systems by actively managing patching, routine maintenance, and backups to include the scheduling and execution of related tasks.

Maintain comprehensive technical knowledge of software and infrastructure platforms.

Collaborate with engineering teams to develop and drive platform improvements.

Qualifications

3-5+ years of experience in AWS and Google cloud administration / operations / services such as EC2, EKS, GKS, Compute Engine.

Understanding of cross-platform (Windows and Linux) systems within an enterprise environment - preferably Linux.

Strong experience in scripting languages like Python, Go and Terraform for automation / administrative purposes.

Experience with version control tools such as GitHub.

Must be a highly motivated individual with strong analytical, problem solving and multitasking skills complimenting a passion for learning / sharing information from and with peers.
