Southern Bancorp is a different kind of bank. As a Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI)-a special certification designated for institutions that serve predominantly underserved communities-Southern Bancorp combines traditional banking and lending services with financial development tools and public policy advocacy to help families and communities grow stronger. Inspired by the principle that building net worth drives economic opportunity, our mission is to be wealth builders for everyone in the communities we serve, with a focus on low-wealth and un(der)banked populations, and an emphasis on Black and Brown individuals.
Job Summary
Provides prompt, efficient, and friendly service to customers, involving the receipt and payment of cash, while recognizing customers' needs and suggesting appropriate bank services. Follows established policies and procedures in accordance with bank guidelines and supervisor direction.
Must be available to work 20-26 hours per week with a typical scheduled of Monday - Friday 12 : 00 PM - 5 : 30 PM and one Saturday a month 8 : 15 AM to 12 : 30 PM.
