Summary
HMH has an opening for a Lead Service Engineer in Odessa, TX. The Lead Service Engineer represents the quality of all HMH products, provides technical assistance to clients, and performs or oversees field installations and repairs. Our leading technologies and safe, effective application create value for customers and shareholders.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate commitment to HSE and ensure that others adhere to safety requirements.
- Operate state-of-the-art automated drilling equipment.
- Install and service systems and equipment, including third-party equipment on drilling rigs at customer locations.
- Apply technical knowledge to ensure optimal performance and determine preventative measures to reduce inefficiencies and field mishaps.
- Provide training to new customers, employees, and rig crews on safety procedures, safe operation, installation, and repair of equipment to minimize hazards and accidents.
- Resolve electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical problems using troubleshooting and repair processes and develop best practices to improve drilling performance.
- Interpret engineering drawings and hydraulic schematics to support equipment installations.
- Manage customer relationships to boost retention and satisfaction.
- Performs additional related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Previous experience as a Field Service Technician or equivalent.Relevant trade certificate or 5–10 years of maintenance / service experience in a similar role with a good safety record.Demonstrates safety leadership qualities.Good communication with all personnel.Commitment to safety and environmental protection, including waste management.Ability to develop and maintain good working relationships with supervisors and participate in meetings.Professional conduct both on and off the job, including confidentiality of company and client business.Ability to work independently or with minimal supervision.Ability to travel long distances.Excellent troubleshooting skills and strong customer service orientation.Ability to manage service calls.Additional Information
