We're looking for a technical, hands-on, and mission-focused Engineering Manager to lead our Experiences team within the Growth organization. The Experiences team is responsible for resolving key pain points that help grow, engage, and retain users and grow the Discord community. You will work with a team of full stack engineers and cross functional partners to execute on a critical strategic mission for our business.

What You'll Be Doing

• Work with Product, Design, Data Science and Marketing to define and execute on the roadmap for growth initiatives.
• Build a team of engaged full stack engineers by hiring, coaching, and instilling best practices.
• Use experimentation and metrics to drive continuous improvement in activation and retention.
• Use your technical expertise and ensure your team delivers extraordinary results at the high technical level we set.
• Collaborate across the company to improve existing products and primitives at scale.
• Partner with leadership on strategic planning and on improving the Engineering organization.

What You Should Have

Candidates must reside in or be willing to relocate to the San Francisco Bay Area (Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, Napa, San Francisco, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Solano, and Sonoma counties).

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $248,000 - $279,000 + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role and level. Within the range, individual pay is determined by additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Please note that the compensation details listed in US role postings reflect the base salary only, and do not include equity, or benefits.
