Med / Surg Telemetry RN Job Details Location : Tuscaloosa, AL 35401 (Alabama healthcare jobs) Assignment Type : Travel RN (Locum Tenens) Unit : Heart Failure / Stroke (Medical Surgical Telemetry) Start Date : October 27, 2025 End Date : February 14, 2026 Duration : 16 weeks Shift : 12-hour days (07 : 00-19 : 00), holidays as required, every other weekend Hours per Week : 36 (option for 48 hours per week) Guaranteed Hours : 36 Estimated Weekly Salary : $1,720 - $1,840 Parking : On-site parking available Dress Code : Solid navy scrubs Registered Nurse Qualifications Associate degree in Nursing required Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Alabama or Compact State (no temporary licenses accepted) Current BLS certification from AHA or Red Cross Minimum 2 years of clinical nursing experience (will consider 18 months with at least 1 year in Med / Surg Telemetry specialty) Experience with Meditech EMR preferred Willingness to float to other units and hospitals as needed Med / Surg Telemetry RN Responsibilities Provide high-quality, compassionate nursing care to patients with neurological and cardiac diagnoses, including congestive heart failure and acute stroke Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure best practice standards of patient care Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions and responses to treatment in a clinical setting Administer medications and perform treatments as ordered by physicians Educate patients and families on care plans, recovery processes, and health management Float to other units or hospitals as required to support patient care needs Apply now to join our dedicated healthcare team in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, and take the next step in your travel nursing career!
