Job Summary\n\nProvides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care. Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and family. Effectively communicates pertinent patient / family information to health care team. Participates in finding solutions for variances from patient goals and ensures implementation of solutions.\n\nSkills : Required Skills & Experience : \n\nClinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans within the unit / department to which staff is assigned.\n\nAbility to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services.\n\nAbility to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel.\n\nEducation : Required Education : \n\nGraduation from an accredited school of nursing.\n\nPreferred Education\n\nBachelors degree in Nursing (BSN).\n\nRequired Certification & Licensure\n\nCurrent licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing.\n\nBLS\n\nSchedule Notes\n\n13-week contract with potential to extend

• REQUIRED : Minimum 2-3 years Med Surg experience, current MI RN licensure, BLS certification from AHA. Candidate must be able to work with minimal supervision. Candidates with previous travel experience are highly preferred. Unit is a Med Surg unit that sees a lot of respiratory conditions and some substance / alcohol abuse withdraw. Candidates will be required to interpret printed rhythm strips. They also see general Med Surg patients, but the large portion will be respiratory conditions. This unit is also the go to for patients needing infectious isolation for respiratory conditions at this location
