Overview
The Candidate will report directly to the General Manager with oversight by the CFO. The candidate will provide support to both senior and executive management on a broad range of accounting, financial, and tactical issues which impact Acme. The Candidate will be primarily responsible for monthly financial and managerial reporting, tooling tracking and billing, ensuring inventory is accurate and updated, issuing weekly payments, and overseeing two accounting staff. The Candidate must have strong knowledge of financial and cost accounting, a solid understanding of enterprise / accounting systems and have an advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Microsoft Excel.
Key Responsibilities
Preparing the monthly financial and managerial statements including an analytical summaryPreparing monthly reconciliations and closing entriesOverseeing the two accounting staff performing billing, collections, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payrollPerforming variance analysesOverseeing, developing, and ensuring compliance accounting procedures and internal controlsProviding support, completing special projects and providing ad-hoc reports to management upon requestCoordinating and overseeing inventory to ensure accuracy, including the coordination of semi-annual physical inventoriesMaintaining product routers, standard costs and pricing - based on the quotation accepted by customer with metal cost / price updated quarterlyMaintaining the fixed asset system - Bassets eDepreciationLearning and becoming a training resource for the Odyssey ERPRequirements and Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in accountingProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Microsoft ExcelFive to seven years of relevant experience, manufacturing strongly preferredExcellent communication skills to work with factory floor personnel through senior managementAbility to manage multiple projects from start to finishDetail oriented, deadline-driven and self-motivatedExperience working in a Lean organization or other continuous improvement environment highly desiredExperience with fixed asset and / or report writing software desired (Bassets / Crystal Reports a plus)#LI-DG1
