Oncology - Radiation Physician

Facility in Williamsport,PA seeking RadOnc locums coverage Opportunity Highlights

• Consistent Schedule : Work Monday through Friday with a choice of 8a-4 : 30p, 7a-3 : 30p, or 7 : 30a-4p shifts. Call is required every other week, with simultaneous outpatient office coverage.
• Solo Practice : You will work independently within the department but as part of a highly skilled team of support staff. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including consultations, follow-ups, and daily image reviews.
• Manageable Workload : You will see an average of 2 new consults, 1 re-evaluation, and 2 follow-up patients per day. Tuesdays are dedicated to seeing all on-treatment patients.
• Cutting-Edge Technology : The department is equipped with two linear accelerators, the Varian Trilogy and TrueBeam Edge, and a GE Lightspeed -16 slice-widebore CT scanner.
• Diverse Procedures : You'll perform a wide range of advanced radiation therapy procedures, including IMRT, IGRT, DIBH, SBRT, and SRS. These techniques use sophisticated technology to deliver precise radiation doses to tumors while sparing healthy tissue.
• Team Collaboration : You will collaborate with a second physician and a robust support team that includes physicists, dosimetrists, radiation therapists, nurses, and administrative staff. You will also participate in weekly chart rounds and peer reviews.
• Quick Privileging : The estimated time to secure full privileges is 30 days.
