Sr. Accounting Associate

Location : St. Paul, MN (Hybrid) this role requires weekly onsite presence in St. Paul, MN. Only local applicants in Minnesota & Western Wisconsin will be eligible for consideration.

Pay Rate : $32 $36 / Hour dependent on applicable experience

Benefits : This position is eligible for medical, dental, vision, and 401(k).

Our client in the healthcare sector is looking to add a Senior Accounting Associate to their team in St. Paul. This position offers the chance to make an impact within one of Minnesota's leading specialty healthcare organizationssupporting financial operations that directly contribute to patient care and organizational success. The ideal candidate brings a well-rounded accounting background, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to thrive in a collaborative and mission-driven environment.

Responsibilities :

  • Process and review invoices, ensuring appropriate coding and approvals
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts and prepare journal entries
  • Assist with month-end and year-end close activities
  • Review and maintain vendor accounts and payment records
  • Support expense tracking, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Partner with department leaders to resolve discrepancies and improve processes
  • Contribute to special projects and reporting as needed

Requirements :

  • 35 years of progressive accounting experience with AP and GL exposure
  • Experience in a healthcare or multi-entity environment preferred
  • Proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUPs, PivotTables) and familiarity with ERP systems
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and ability to work cross-functionally
  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
