ProKatchers is seeking a travel Speech Language Pathologist for a travel job in Marysville, California.

Shift :

Days - : 09 : 00 AM - 05 : 00 PM

Work Experience :

  • Provide assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing (dysphagia) disorders in a geriatric, medically complex population in a subacute / longterm SNF setting.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team and support quality patient outcomes and regulatory compliance.
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations within 24 hours of physician referral to assess speech, language, cognition, and swallowing.
  • Develop a functional therapy diagnosis and prognosis.
  • Design and implement individualized treatment plans, use evidence-based interventions, adjust treatment based on progress, and establish clear, measurable goals.
  • Provide direct therapy addressing communication and swallowing disorders in residents, including compensatory strategies, cognitive-communication interventions, and group therapy when appropriate.
  • Document accurately and timely : evaluation reports, daily treatment notes, weekly progress updates, 14day physician progress reports, discharge summaries, billing documentation, and any POC (plan of care) logs.
  • Educate residents, families, and nursing / CNA staff on communication strategies, safe swallowing techniques, and homeexercise programs.
  • Coordinate care with the interdisciplinary teamnurses, physicians, PT / OT, dietary, social workto optimize patient outcomes and support discharge planning.
  • Participate in quality improvement and facility initiatives; advocate for patientcentered care, ethical practice, and compliance with Medicare / Medicaid documentation standards (PDPM, Title22, CMS).
  • If supervising SLPAs or therapy aides, ensure compliance with California regulations : supervisor must have 2 years experience (or 3,120 hours), provide direct supervision for 20% of duties for first 90days, and complete CEUs in supervision.

    • Education :

    Masters degree in SpeechLanguage Pathology from an accredited institution.

    License :

  • Current California SLP license.
  • Temporary RPE license accepted if in process.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCCSLP) from ASHA preferred.

    • Certifications :

    Current BLS / CPR certification required.
