JOB TITLE : Shipping Expeditor

DEPARTMENT : Shipping

FLSA STATUS : Non-Exempt

REPORTS TO : Shipping Supervisor

SUMMARY :

Under the direction of the Shipping Supervisor, the Shipping Expeditor is responsible for the packing and loading furniture.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Attach final hardware to furniture when required

Inspect furniture pieces and trim strings when needed

Replenish working stations with raw materials and supplies

Wrap, make bags and build boxes based on the needs of the customer

Load furniture onto trucks when needed using a hand truck

Follow up with reworks sent to other departments

Perform miscellaneous duties and projects as assigned and required

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Ability to organize and prioritize tasks

Ability to interact collaboratively with others

Ability to lift 50 - 100lbs using a hand truck

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Basic computer skills

Ability to work overtime as required
